It can be tricky trying to search for New Careers, most people just remain in the one they currently have to keep things straightforward. This isn’t usually the best of ideas however. For starters you may not even like the job that much, what is the point in that? You’ll soon get tired of the position and might find yourself getting depressed. Rather than stopping in a job like that, you need to take action and search for some new Career Choices. There is plenty on offer out there, you just need to have the determination and the persistance to look for them. We are going to be looking at some possible situations that you might find yourself in, these are all decent reasons for quitting your existing job and looking towards one of the countless Careers that are out there.
The first situation we will be referring to is one that irritates me a lot, because it is something I have experienced before and can say for certain how bad it is. This scenario is when you are stuck in Careers that have no future, no possibility of progression. There can be a lot of reasons for this, but the cause I have came across is due to biased treatment within the management team. To word it simply, my manager had her two favourites in the team and had no time for the rest of us. These people weren’t really good at their jobs, but just got along well with the manager. This affected anyone that was aiming to progress, personally I had been progressing into a coaching position with my previous manager and when he resigned, I was moved back to the basics. This kind of situation isn’t really that rare, no doubt a manager is going to get along better with some people, but it mustn’t ever negatively effect their work or other people’s work. If you are stuck in a career such as this, my recommendation is just to quit, you could be spending years without anything moving forward.
A further reason you might want to contemplate looking at different Career Choices is when the work just isn’t what you want it to be. Now this may sound apparent, but it’s amazing how many people just stick with a job that they didn’t truly want to be doing. It can make it easy and you might be able to advance to a better paid role, but will you ever really be happy? You need to pursue Careers that you have a liking in, even if it means receiving less pay. You’ll be happier at work and you’ll be doing something you really like. It makes the day a lot easier and you’ll be going home less fatigued.
There are many other reasons to search for New Careers and I’m confident you can think of most of them yourself. Other ordinary reasons can be if you’re working alongside horrible people that you can’t get along with or if the company you’re in is not performing too well, perhaps leading to redundancies. Think long and hard about your Career Choices, as you ought to find something you can keep up through the years and it’s better that you don’t jump from one to another too often, just try to discover one where you can settle down.
