‘Do a little every day’, he told me, ‘just do something every day’. So said a personal fitness trainer to me once and I have to say, that piece of advice has really stuck with me.

Why? It creates what I am beginning to think is THE key to self improvement and success – an almost unstoppable force – that of momentum.

My trainer made it clear to me the main thing was not necessarily to make a leap forward one any individual day, but to create a situation where it becomes impossible NOT to make a leap forward. To create a daily habit of going through the motions of improvement.

We are what we do. What we go through the motions of, most of the time we end up doing with some degree of success.

It creates a snowball effect, small successes build on small successes until you can’t help but succeed.

We all have momentum in life, we just need to create it in the right direction and success is guaranteed.
